IN THE ACADEMY'S LIBRARY AN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TRAINING BEGAN

 

Today, June 7, 2017, at the Scientific Library of the Academy of Public Administration, the “English for Specific Purposes” Training started.

The training is being carried out within the project “Library Network Support Services: modernizing libraries in Armenia, Moldova and Belarus through library staff development and reforming libraries [LNSS]”, implemented through the Erasmus + Capacity Building for Higher Education Program.

The training will be held with the support of the representatives of The Pyramid Group from Germany.

Welcoming the presence of the guests, the first vice-rector of the Academy of Public Administration, Andrei GROZA, PhD, associate professor, mentioned that in the Academy of Public Administration the knowledge of English offers a wide range of opportunities including participation in the implementation of international projects, collaboration with similar institutions in the countries Europe. Currently, at the Academy, English is intensively studied not only by master students but also by the institution staff. In this context, he appreciated the training that started today and thanked the teachers from Germany for their support.

The German expert also estimated that the Republic of Moldova has a lot of possibilities for international cooperation in various fields. The purpose of the English courses at the Academy of Public Administration, in addition to studying this international language, is to provide opportunities for participation in concrete projects and, in this regard, any idea is welcome.

The training will take place for 3 days: for participants with an advanced level of English knowledge on June 7th and 8th, for beginners and interim participants on June 8th and 9th.

The training is attended by librarians, professors and master students of the Academy.
